  先月はじめ、アメリカ公文書館より2枚の秘蔵の太平洋戦争勃発前女性で初めての世界一周を試み、航空士(Navigator)Fred Noonanと共に太平洋上空で消息をたったアメリア イアハートの消息後の新事実を解明出来る写真が発見されたとCNNで報じられた。History Channnelでも分析解説されている

They were in radio contact with the US Coast Guard cutter Itasca, which was just offshore Howland Island. The aviators radioed that they were low on fuel and unable to find the tiny island.

Marshall island付近で不時着し、その頃Pacific Oceanを制圧していた、日本軍に捕らえられその後亡くなったと言う仮説もあった。その証拠の写真がこれではないかといわれている。

2枚目の写真には日本軍のKoushuが不時着したElectraを曳航している写真とされている。

 一番右端の釣られているのがElectraです。なるほど...
