今日は純粋に空のお話ですが、Business Jet として、Entry-Level として使われていたCitation Jet M2の話題です。改良が重ねられ、もっと実用性のあるBisiness Jetとして紹介されています。

お盆休みの軽い記事です。

PROGRAM PROFILE :

Cessna Citation M2

The Citation M2 is a twin-engine business jet produced by Wichita-based Textron Aviation.

Announced in September 2011 and based on the Cessna 525 type, the Citation M2 made its first flight on March 9, 2012, from the Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

Subsequently, the first production airframe made its first flight from Independence, Kansas—the location of M2 assembly—in August 2013, with the M2 receiving FAA certification on Dec. 20, 2013, following a flight test program that included two airplanes and almost 1,000 flight test hours. The first M2 was delivered just days later on Dec. 23, 2013.

The M2 isn’t the largest aircraft in the entry-level turbine aircraft market, but it’s unsurpassed for speed, safety and single-pilot ease of operations.
